AI COMPLEX.

This evening I went to a cafe in Harajuku (+ac) to meet up with Ai... a designer and artist that used to work for Staple Design Japan. She's on her own now and doing very well on freelance projects and working comfortably out of her home/office. She is cool peoples.

During this, Hiroshi stopped by. Complex Magazine was trying to do a story all week on Hiroshi, but they just kept calling at the worst times! (At no fault to them, just bad timing.) But we'd be boarding an airplane, going into the Onsen, getting off a chair lift, etc...timing was just fucked up. So Complex emailed me (since they saw from the blog that I was in Japan with him) and asked if I would do the interview in person. Mind you, this is my quote-unquote vacation. Normally I would have said piss off, but Hiroshi looks out for me a lot and the least I could do was make him sound as cool as possible in my home turf. Plus I get to expense an iTalk MP3 recorder. (woo-hoo!) In addition to the interview, I had to shoot him. So ghetto...anyway, we'll see how it comes out soon.
Some interesting snippets from the interview:
"I get inspired by people."
"I try and be honest with myself. That's all I've been doing from the past 20 years."
"If i go to sleep and I don't wake up tomorrow...it's fine for me."
