I think everyone had a "Darrin Hudson" in their lives. Darrin Hudson was in my high school, back in Marlboro, NJ. You know, that person that you had to one-up all the time. Didn't matter what it was: Gear, hair, grades, sports, whatever...it was ON. Well for Darrin and I...it was kicks. Plain and simple. Oddly enough, in a school with over 1000 kids, me and him were the only 2 really into sneakers back then. This is my blog dedicated to Darrin. This is to tell Darrin that I'm still out there, and if he wants to battle, here it is son!! Bring it!! I've since lost touch with Darrin, but thanks to him, you all get to check out the kicks I have amassed over the years. So it is here, that I will archive every pair of shoes I own. It’ll include detailed photos, a grading system, a little tidbit behind each one and every single one will be available for purchase. (Simply POST A COMMENT with your offer). Some other little goodies sprinkled throughout also. Even if I updated a different shoe every week, it would take me about 3 years to complete this project. So sit back and enjoy! The project begins January 1st, 2006...

BIRTHDAY MIGRATION.

This past Tuesday was my birthday and I turned...umm...well...I got a year older, m'kay? It actually turned out to be a pretty good birthday. First up, the GFV suprised me with tickets to Common's show at Nokia Theater on Sunday night. Not just tickets...VIP tickets dawg! I haven't been to a solid hip hop show in a loooong time. But this was a dope one. It opened with Floetry (yawn). Then Common came out and really did his thing. If M.C. stands for Move the Crowd, he definitely did his job tonight.
The following day, Brendon from Noah/Earnest Sewn dropped by our new office for the first time and showed off some of the new stuff he was cookin' up for Noah. Amazing as usual...From there, mom dukes took me out to dinner at the new restaurant Morimoto. You might know him as Iron Chef Japan. The restaurant is pretty damn nice. The food is very good also. But I'm not a fan of oversized plates with tiny little scoops of food. I ain't no heathen, but $18 for a SCOOP of lobster with 2 lettuce leaves and calling that a "salad" is pretty ridiculous. Anyway, good experience, but I ain't lining up to return anytime soon. I'll stick with Honmura An.
Today, I got 2 more gifts in the mail. One was my MacBook Pro (FINALLY!). It took long enough but it finally came in. In fact, this is the first post using the Intel Core Duo MacBook. Can't you just feel the speed?! The second prize was from Nike and holy schmoly was it a DOOZEY! I don't really want to go into details, but let's just say it is 2 cases worth! As always, I'll be posting my ENTIRE collection, so you'll eventually see these coming around on the blog.

Opening act was Floetry. I'm sorry, I know there are mad crazy Floetry fans out there, but I just ain't feelin them. After you've seen Badu live, everyone else in the game can just hang it up.

Common. He single handedly killed this crowd. This man encompasses everything that is still good about hip hop.

Noah's new coat. Peep the polka dot fabric. That's WOVEN into the fabric kids. No oversized silkscreen here. Brendon always does things first class.

Beautiful restaurant. But I left hungry. I mean, check out this burger! (J/K, that's a cake, but it'still damn small!)

Aww yeah baby. Migration! For you Window-heads, that's Apple's quick and easy way to transfer everything from your old computer to the new one. This MacBook is straight butter.

Nike sends their warmest regards. I have never received this many shoes in one shipment. It's almost too much for my senses to handle. Please refrain from sending hate mail. Thank You.
