I think everyone had a "Darrin Hudson" in their lives. Darrin Hudson was in my high school, back in Marlboro, NJ. You know, that person that you had to one-up all the time. Didn't matter what it was: Gear, hair, grades, sports, whatever...it was ON. Well for Darrin and I...it was kicks. Plain and simple. Oddly enough, in a school with over 1000 kids, me and him were the only 2 really into sneakers back then. This is my blog dedicated to Darrin. This is to tell Darrin that I'm still out there, and if he wants to battle, here it is son!! Bring it!! I've since lost touch with Darrin, but thanks to him, you all get to check out the kicks I have amassed over the years. So it is here, that I will archive every pair of shoes I own. It’ll include detailed photos, a grading system, a little tidbit behind each one and every single one will be available for purchase. (Simply POST A COMMENT with your offer). Some other little goodies sprinkled throughout also. Even if I updated a different shoe every week, it would take me about 3 years to complete this project. So sit back and enjoy! The project begins January 1st, 2006...

FAST: DAY 2

Prognosis and Update:
No real crazy hunger cravings. There are times if someone is eating fries, I feel almost an impulse to grab one so I have to check myself. If I don't have water for more than 2 hours, I start feeling hungry, but overall, the hunger aspect is much easier than I thought to overcome. Its interesting to test the human body and see what its capable of.

Oddities:
My teeth hurt. I don't know why. They are really sensitive...to cold, heat, brushing, everything!
The lady at Organic Avenue said its because I am detoxing and it comes out in different ways for different people. Sounds kind of bullshit to me. I think it might be the acids and sugars from all the juice and the fact that I am not really using them anymore.

I also have this strange bloated feeling. Like I'm stuffed. But with that? Liquid?
I'm also going to the bathroom LESS than I usually do. Which I thought the complete opposite. My fear is of course that an "emergency situation" will arise at the worst opportune moment.

Overall:
I feel kinda of lathargic, crappy and bloated. Kind of the same feeling after you eat a 32oz steak and potatoes...but without the 32oz steak and potatoes. Well Day 3 is next and I will stick with it. I am hoping for a "moment of clarity" soon.

Over and out.

the whole fasting detox thing seems shady to me. anyone i know who's done it looks like shit when they're on it and no better than before once they're off it. no question juice is better than french fries, but don't drink the kool-aid on that "everybody detoxes in different ways" stuff. if, by day 7, you're crowing about how "clear" you feel, i'll call EVT.

hey! I come by here all the time but never really say hi so hey.

about the detox. hmm..sounds interesting. a couple weeks ago, I started and ended like..four diets since I'll be in a pageant next month but then I realized, hell I like to eat. The good ish makes life more enjoyable.

But uh keep it up! That stamina is amazing (especially compared to mine). pce.

the detox thing with the teeth is most likely BS.

if anything your lethargy is from your bodys reaction to the change in diet. You're probably eating dramatically different than you were before, so your body's metabolism needs time to adjust, especially when the change is so jarring. youd do best to keep your activity level the same, and stay hydrated..

it sounds like you are drinking more water? to compensate for not eating? that might attribute to the bloated feeling.

as long as youre going #2 once a day, i wouldnt worry about the emergency situation too much..then again like i said, the body needs time to adjust to a very different diet.

good luck!

Your description is pretty amusing. It sounds to me that you're a little too conscious of your body because of this diet.
