Rick Right now I'm not working, I have a disability. SSI. Staple Design So you get by with the Social Security? Where do you see yourself in five years? Rick Oh in five years? Ok, actually, you know, I think I see myself doing
a lot better. I don't think this is gonna be for a long time, that I'm gonna
be in the predicament as you say. It's been a few years now. Staple Design How long was it? Rick About two years. Things will get better, because I've been working
some things out, and I think this won't last for much longer. Staple Design That's good, that's good. How much money are you working with on a
daily basis? Rick Very little money, you know, I've been getting help from churches. Staple Design What's your favorite movie? Rick Right now I haven't been into any movies at all, to be honest with
you. I haven't seen any recent movies. My favorite movieŠI really couldn't
tell you, I haven't been to the movies in a while. Staple Design What about your favorite book? Rick I like reading philosophy books, you know, and I can say I like
reading Plato, Aristotle, things like that. Staple Design What do you do for fun? Rick Oh fun. Right now I don't do a lot of anything for fun, I just like
watching people. I like touring the city, watching people. I like the summer
time, summer is fun in of itself for me. I just dig the summer, you know,
when it gets warm, that's fun. Enjoying the environment, that's the way I
have fun. Staple Design What's your favorite food? Rick Spaghetti. Staple Design What do you think about New York? Rick I like New York, I love New York. I've been in New York all my life.
Only thing, I wish New York was like Florida, all year round. Like we had
tropical trees right here in New York. Florida weather, you know, and
Florida trees , it would be ideal. Staple Design What do you think about the Mayor? Rick I don't know what to think yet. I think like any political
representative needs to be given a chance to see how effective they are. I
don't like judging a person just on personality. Whereas other people judge
personality, I like to see the results of their work, how effective they
are. So that's the best answer I can give you about the Mayor. Staple Design Where did you go to high school? Rick Staten Island, [unclear] High school. Staple Design Did you go to college after that? Rick No, I took a few credits in a place in Wisconsin. An inspection of
Wisconsin University but I only had like 16 credits and that's been like
years ago. I dropped out after the first semester because I was studying
something else, and a training program, and I couldn't carry both loads,
which was a bad mistake. I think that was really one of myŠsomething I
consider foolish today. I regret it. Staple Design Do you have any kids? Rick Yes I have one son. He's with his mother, we're separated, a long
time. Staple Design Do you believe in God? Rick Yes I do. Staple Design What religion are you? Rick Right now I go to Protestant churches. My family was always
Protestant. But I have a concept of religion that might be a little bit
different you know. Anybody should be able to practice whatever religion
they are. Your preference might be Protestant, or Islamic, or whatever.
Judaism, you know, all that is alright by me because I think that religion
itself is an ethical model, and that is more important than prejudices or
differences because of a person's religion, you know what I'm saying? Staple Design I agree with you completely. Alright, if you could be anywhere in
the world, where would you be? Rick Right now? You mean anywhere in the world, in space, geographically?
Right here in New York. Staple Design What is your definition of the word 'home'? Rick Family. Staple Design This is your opportunity to speak to the world, what do you have to
